After a business career in both the private and public sectors, I took the opportunity to start guiding in Canterbury in 2018. I enjoyed researching and sharing the story of this fascinating city, and studied for my professional qualification in guiding. I took and passed examinations in both subject knowledge and professional techniques and am now a green badge guide for the City of Canterbury in my native language of English.

Originally from South East London, I have lived for many years in the county of Kent, the last twenty in Faversham, not far from the City. I have an MBA, and a BA in modern languages (I lived and studied in London, Strasbourg and Munich) and good experience in planning and communication.

Most of all, I thoroughly enjoy helping visitors to understand how Canterbury’s story fits with British and European history, as well as its links with the wider world both past and present. Fascinating insights, curiosities, stories and secrets are revealed in a gentle walk around the City. I am also happy to prepare and present a special tour based on your particular interest or theme.
